For the Monotch team, Intertraffic 2022 was a real success, with the presentation about the benefits of TLEX® on March 29, the announcement of a new partnership on March 30 and the Partner evening on March 31 as the absolute highlights.
After a four year break, the most successful and world’s leading event for traffic technology professionals – Intertraffic – finally took place in RAI Amsterdam from March 29 till April 1, 2022, and Monotch was there to experience it.
Learnings from TLEX® experience
In addition to the exhibition floor, there was a separate area with theatres for traffic technology-related presentations. Already the first day, Menno Malta, CEO of Monotch, presented the societal benefits of a large-scale C-ITS data exchange hub. The knowledge from this presentation is based, of course, on the experience we have from the TLEX® platform.
The presentation was very well received as many listeners came up to the booth afterwards for additional information on the TLEX platform and our experience in the smart mobility market, such as the following deployments:
- UDAP (part of the Talking Traffic project in The Netherlands)
- NordicWays3
- Concorda
- DATACLEP
During the presentation, Menno announced our free trial TLEX®, which allows users to try and understand what TLEX® is all about. Besides a free version, we also offer the opportunity to create a Proof of Concept or pilot at a reduced cost. We believe that making our smart mobility platform available to everyone is essential if we want to move forward with smarter, more efficient and sustainable mobility.
Partners are central to Monotch.
Another aspect of Intertraffic was, of course, to meet everybody live again. Although many important meetings are done online nowadays, and even events moved to the internet in the past two years, meeting someone face-to-face felt rewarding.
For Monotch, it was the best event to meet up with existing and potential partners. Because to operate globally, Monotch connects with global and local partners. To us, partners are essential for increasing the reach of TLEX®. Therefore, making this platform available to everyone in the traffic technology ecosystem is too. Working with different partners – deployment, vendor, and solution – allows both authorities and road users to benefit optimally from the advantages C-ITS brings, making traffic safer, more efficient and more sustainable.
Therefore, we were excited to announce our new partnership with Royal HaskoningDHV, an independent consultancy firm with a global reach. But we did not only announce new partnerships; we also brought companies together to share their experience in our collaboration and explain the benefits of these arrangements. We are therefore confident that we can announce more partnerships shortly.
The future of C-ITS platforms
From all the presentations and booths we saw and the talks we had, we were confirmed that the TLEX® platform set-up – a vendor-independent, secure, bi-directional, scalable and proven C-ITS platform – is what all parties in the smart mobility ecosystem need and prefer. We are confident that offering such a platform globally and allowing trials and reduced-cost Proof of Concepts will bring success for everyone in the ecosystem.
